Where can i get serial number for sharpdesk 3.2 software? - Computers & Internet question.
Chances are it's the configuration of SharpDesk that's in question here. SharpDesk is designed to work with a myriad of systems as a scan interface, but older versions (pre 3.2) can be buggy, especially with Adobe Acrobat/Reader below version 7. What you should do is go to each PC with SharpDesk installed and launch the program, then go to the pulldown menu and click on 'Tools'. Next, highlight 'Product Configuration', then choose the sub-menu item 'Network Scanner Tool'.
Once the tool launches, click on the 'Scanners' tab. In the 'Known Scanners' window make sure the IP check-marked matches that of the copier you're scanning from. Once you've highlighted that IP address, click on the 'Auto Detect' button to the right. This will send a command to the copier to confirm communications pathways and test them. Once that's completed, click on 'Apply' and you should be able to scan to that PC. If this doesn't work, you may need to check and verify the actual scan setup entries on the copier's webpage.
Launch your normal web browser and plug in the IP of the copier in the address line. If you get a security prompt it's 'admin' (all lower case) for the login name and 'Sharp' (capital 'S', all other letters lower case) for the password. You'll need to go to 'Destination Management', then whatever setup option you're using (i.e. E-mail, ftp, desktop, etc. Visual Parsic 3 6. ) and confirm the existing entries for the scan functions are correct. Submitted by Ben Hoeksel We have found issues with the uninstaller for SharpDesk 3.2 and a 64-bit OS. Issue has been seen in both Windows 7 and Vista x64.
The following process has worked for removing SharpDesk from your installed programs: 1 - Open your 32 bit registry - regedt32 2 - Browse to HKLM SOFTWARE Wow6432Node Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Uninistall 3 - Remove SharpDesk Instances To remove your previously used Serial Number for the SharpDesk Install, delete the following file: C: Windows Sharp_SDInfo_0.log You should now be able to install SharpDesk 3.3 and put in a new Serial Number.
